Bernie Davis, founder of the Eco Hub Sidmouth introduces us to the latest session:
CAPS Workshop with Chris Lockyear
Have you ever wondered what your carbon footprint is? And how to reduce it?
Your carbon footprint is a measure of the amount of carbon dioxide you release both directly and indirectly as a result of your lifestyle and which contributes to climate change.
This workshop will discuss how your carbon footprint is based on 6 different components: Home heating and lighting, Food, Goods and Services, Transport, Air Travel and Infrastructure.
Everyone’s lifestyle is different so your carbon footprint will probably be different to your friends and neighbours. We will provide tools that will allow everyone to estimate their own personal carbon footprint. There are no wrong answers! But understanding your carbon footprint, and how it is made up, is the first step in allowing each of use to make changes to reduce our impact on the environment.
The workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss which changes are likely to be both easiest to make and at the some time most effective.
This Saturday 6th December – from 11am to 1pm at Sidmouth Library.
Please book a place to make sure you can take part!
