‘We Are All People of Power’ – meet the winners at the event on Thursday 16th April!

We’ve had several East Devon Carbon Action Fund champions who have been awarded generous grants by the district council to go green with their energy – including in Sidmouth, with the Scouts, the Rugby club and the Hospice.

And now there is the opportunity to meet the Scouts at the ‘We Are All People of Power’ event on Thursday 16th April – together with most of other recipients of a grant – when we can learn from Sidmouth people as they share their energy-saving stories, how they did it and how we as households, businesses and organisations can do the same!

So, the Sidmouth – Hospice at Home will be there to let us know about their solar panels – as will the local business Gathered & Grown who produce herbal tea in a very sustainable way. And the Sidmouth Rugby Club will be on hand to talk about their Carbon Action Fund grant:

Matthew Barrett, chairman of Sidmouth Rugby Football Club, said: “Our funding, secured through a successful bid, will enable Sidmouth Rugby Football Club to take meaningful steps toward decarbonisation. With this award, Sidmouth Rugby Football Club remains dedicated to providing exceptional rugby opportunities in Sidmouth, promoting environmental responsibility and advancing sustainable practices within the community.”

The award winners will be on hand to answer questions and engage with visitors about how they might be able to do the same – so both an inspiring and practical evening.

Hope you can make it!
