Net Zero Week: free online conference: 8-10 July

Net Zero Week will soon be upon us: UK’s official national awareness week and the biggest net zero conference.

There’s quite a programme – and quite a commitment from all sorts of players.

One strand will be Net Zero Week in Parliament:

Net Zero Week, the UK’s official national awareness week back by government and industry, is celebrating its fifth anniversary in July. Net Zero Week 2025 is the UK’s official national awareness week backed by HM Government and industry.

Our flagship event, the largest net zero conference by attendance, is online-only and free to attend. Last year, over 3,500 delegates joined us.

I am pleased to share the agenda for our fifth year, featuring a powerful lineup of webinars designed to inform, inspire and drive action.

Our three thematic days are:
Tuesday, 8th July: Energy & Carbon
Wednesday, 9th July: Transport
Thursday, 10th July: Energy Infrastructure

Explore the agenda and book your tickets today – everyone is welcome.

Yes, much of the drive to net-zero is based on the drive to decarbonise energy – and in Devon the efforts have been mixed. On the one hand, more solar panel systems have been fitted in Central Devon homes – as the Government suggests most new homes will have them. On the other, there are the communities fighting green energy infrastructure in Devon and Wales.

Perhaps we need to look at the other strand in the Net Zero Week, and Paul Mason’s year of London by Lime bike – making the 15-Minute Neighbourhood a practical reality and something more people in communities are appreciating.
