The new-look CAPS February 2026 Newsletter has very much taken its look from the excellent Newsletters of the Devon Climate Emergency – ‘excellent’ because they are local and positive and show how reaching out to the wider community is vital.

The Devon Climate Emergency is all about “creating a resilient, net-zero Devon where people and nature thrive!” which sounds like quite a good place to be! And it’s something that the Climate Awareness Partnership Sidmouth aspires to be:

We are a partnership of local authorities, emergency services, businesses and voluntary organisations dedicated to taking action on climate change in Devon. Our mission is to empower Devon to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero by 2050 at the latest, prepare communities for a warmer world and improve the resilience of Devon’s environment to the effects of climate change.

To really get to know what it’s all about, this coming Tuesday afternoon, at the Café Scientifique: the Devon Climate Emergency Partnership looks at “Creating a resilient, sustainable Devon”:

The next Cafe Scientifique will take place on Tuesday 17th February at 3.00pm

Emily Reed will give a talk entitled “Devon Climate Emergency Partnership: Creating a resilient, sustainable Devon
