A lot has been happening locally on climate action – and the Eco Hub has been at the centre of much of what has been happening in the Sid Valley.
Back in September the Eco Hub Sidmouth returned with free family fun at the Library back in September – which involved things such as spotting the poo – and ‘any other bits of nature you might want to pick up from the park and forest floor’!
And last month, we saw the first Sidmouth Climate Café popping up, courtesy of the team from the Eco Hub Sidmouth.
We got an update on the Eco Hub Sidmouth at the recent meeting of the town council’s environment committee – where we got to hear about the new logo for Eco Hub Sidmouth and to look forward to the activities and workshops in the autumn programme to be delivered at Sidmouth Library.

The next session at the Library planned is on 6th December: Your Carbon Footprint Workshop with Chris Lockyear…learning how small daily decisions impact on our individual and collective carbon footprints. Look out for more info on the CAPS website and on the Sidmouth Library Nature Table | Facebook pages.
Plus, the Eco Hub team are working with the CAPS team to put on a ‘big climate event’ in February 2026 – so, again, watch this space.
But before all this – we will be celebrating the Eco Hub Sidmouth! All those who have contributed in one way or another (and those have been many!) have been invited to the Sustainable Sidmouth Champions Awards ceremony, as part of the Vision Group for Sidmouth’s AGM, happening at the Dissenters’ Leigh Browne Room (opposite the hospital) 6.30-8pm Friday 21st November.
And if you’d like to join everyone at the event to celebrate what the Eco Hub Sidmouth has been doing, do come along! Open to all. It should be a good evening!
